iMac Pro: The New iMac.

Apple has recently revealed their most powerful iMac named iMac Pro at WWDC-2017. It will be available to consumers by the end of 2017 (December). The new iMac Pro has the most powerful collection of the workstation, from graphics to processors and to storage. The machine is so powerful that it can handle every task from 3D animation to software development very easily.

PERFORMANCE:

It is the first time that Apple has introduced 18 cores in their iMac lineup. The machine is so powerful that it can handle multicore processing with great ease. The processor has 8-core, 10-core, 18-core and can be a turbo boost up to 4.5Ghz with 42 MB of cache. It has the Intel Xeon processor inside. Apple’s has introduced the all new Radeon Pro-Vega graphics inside which is 3-times faster than any previous iMac GPU. The Graphic Chip is so powerful that it packs double-wide graphics into a single chip. The GPU can fetch data of up to 400GB/s. The iMac Pro accommodate an impressive amount of memory, which is up to 128GB at 2666Mhz DDR4 ECC. It packs up to 4TB SSD (Solid State Drive) with up to 3Gb/s throughput which made loading huge files and launching apps very fast.

DISPLAY:

The new iMac Pro has a 5K Retina Display with 27-inch screen size with (5120 X 2880) resolution support and a dazzling 500 nits of brightness across 14.7 million pixels. With P3 color gamut, the colors seem very natural and the display delivers spectacular true-to-life images. The display supports 1 billion colors and is 43% brighter than its old generations.

CONNECTIONS AND EXPANSIONS:

The new iMac Pro comes with 4 Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports by which data transfers at blazing 40Gb/s of speed. One can create a powerful workstation by connecting two RAID systems and two 5K displays to the four Thunderbolt 3 ports. And the work can be viewed on 44 million pixel canvas. A 10Gb Ethernet port (RJ-45) is present which also supports N base-T industry-standard with 1Gb, 2.5Gb, and 5Gb link speeds. An SDXC card slot with support for UHS-II is also present.

ACCESSORIES:

The new iMac Pro has a number of choices in accessories which are wireless, rechargeable, and beautiful to hold. The new Magic Keyboard includes a numeric keypad and comes with your choice of Magic Mouse 2 or Magic Trackpad 2. The machine is available in all Space Gray color.
